I miss high school crushes

The feeling of seeing the guy you like in class

Sending notes to them asking questions like:

do you like me?

All your friends giggling, knowing what is happening

His friends joking about while watching your interactions

It’s all too cute!

More than digital

I want memories without a camera

Pictures not on an iPhone

I want to look back in my mind

And not my Facebook photos.

I need more reality than my TV

Friendships that can’t delete me

Conversations lasting longer than a tweet

140 isn’t enough to say why you need me.

I have always wanted to be beautiful

It took me a while to realise that I already am

and the type of beauty I have been chasing all my life…

…will never be found

It is a standard that is superficially and artificially imitated

and we know that those things can only be created in a lab
